Amy Bergholtz joined the Hartgrove team in October 2017. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in psychology and women’s studies from Tulane University and earned her Doctor of Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Bergholtz is a licensed clinical psychologist and she is also certified in maternal mental health by Postpartum Support International. Prior to her role as the clinical director at Hartgrove, she gained experience in community mental health outpatient clinics, private practice and therapeutic day school and residential settings.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Bergholtz is passionate in learning about people, helping underserved mental health communities and making a positive contribution through her work. As clinical director, she enjoys the variety in her days as well as seeing students and staff develop personally and professionally in their clinical skills.

When she’s not working, Dr. Bergholtz enjoys spending time with her family and friends, vegetarian cooking and live music.
