Inpatient Services

Hartgrove Hospital is a 136-bed psychiatric facility serving children, adolescents and adults throughout the Greater Chicagoland area and collar counties. The Hospital has six distinct units divided by age group providing quality, short term stabilization and discharge planning. From admission, a multidisciplinary team is involved with each patient, working together to provide the best care possible in a therapeutic milieu.

The Children’s Program provides services to children ages 3 through 12 in a caring and nurturing milieu. The focus of the children’s program is all about values and making choices. The program is designed to build character and give children more insight on life lessons and the ability to make better choices.

The Adolescent Programs are designed to address the specific clinical needs of youth 13 to 17 years of age. Behavioral management techniques are a key treatment component. This includes positive reinforcement to build self-esteem and increase healthy behaviors while addressing limit setting and self-discipline.

The Adult Program treats a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses including depression, manic-depressive illness and other psychiatric disorders.

The Substance Abuse Subprogram is available on all units.

The Hartgrove Academy’s Educational Program is integrated into the total treatment plan of all patients enrolled in school.
